Resident training
The Association is responsible for formulating objectives of specialty training and has published a handbook describing knowledge goals of the specified objectives. The SOA participates and works actively with the quality control of specialty training. Each year the SOA arranges an ”Orthopaedic examination”, which is a specialty examination consisting of written and oral/practical sections.
Two medical students from the University of Lund have, as part of their thesis, made an excellent instruction video in orthopaedic examination technique in cooperation with Christian Anker Hansen of the Viewfind production company.
